These exceptional pieces add excitement to any setting. A fair number of the spears, shields and other weapons pre-date the golden age of African Safaris that occurred during the 1920’s. Most of Africa was still very wild up through the early 1950’s. While it is impossible to recreate the history of the various pieces featured in this section, it is fun to speculate. For example, there is a fair chance some of the Maasai Lion spears shown were used by an adolescent male to slay a lion and thus earn the right to be considered an adult warrior or Moran. Did that teenager survive the engagement unscathed or was the outcome a little less one-sided? We can not tell, but it is interesting to ponder. Order one of our special pieces today and bring a little bit of African mystery into your special room.
