On that note, we are pleased to announce we have established a “Big Five” Pro-Staff of African PH’s that includes:

• Dirk de Bod from Namibia who won the 2008 SCI PH of the Year and is one of the most skilled PH’s on the Dark Continent today.
•  Johan Calitz, who was the primary PH featured on the “Under Wild Skies” TV show with Tony Makris.  This is the gentleman who Craig Boddington took his largest elephant with a few years back.  Johan takes more big tuskers out of Botswana and Mozambique than anyone else year in and year out.
•  John Sharp from Zimbabwe who is a consistent winner at the Zimbabwe PH Awards banquet and in 2006 took honors for both the largest elephant and largest leopard to come out of the country that year.
• Douglas McNeil was the PH featured on the “Cabela’s Dangerous Game” TV Show and is a third generation hunter who works in Tanzania.  He is equally adept with a fly rod or a camera and has hunted all over the world.
• Charles Price from South Africa whose father was one of the Game Ranch Pioneers who re-established many of the native species of that country and made it one of the premier plains game destinations.  Charles has been hunting for almost his entire life and runs a great operation.
• We also have several of the best know North American Guides and FHS’s (Female Hunters and Shoppers who select the Jewelry/Accessories) on board to ensure any new products will meet our high performance and aesthetic standards. Since that first product,  we have added over 200 custom made creations that include British Campaign Furniture, hand-crafted knives and Cape buffalo products, just to name a few.  As we have expanded into branded products and those made of canvas, steel and hide our name has become too limiting and we knew we needed a new one. The good folks at Safari Classics came up with, “African Sporting Creations”.  This new name more accurately captures our African focus, the much broader range of products we now offer and is close enough to be familiar to all our existing customers.  Don’t worry about losing track of us, your existing bookmarks, phone numbers and the search engines will still bring you to our doorstep.
